With Arrows - Hubbed Date and Arrows

Variety 111

Obverse 11: Doubled Upper Loop of 3 Digit

Reverse K: Die Crack Tops of (UNIT)ED

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                 Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: Since the date and arrows have been hubbed into the working hub die, the repunching of date digits is not possible. Instead it appears that the 3 digit on Obverse 11 has been doubled during the preparation of the working die. The left stem edge of the right arrow may also show signs of doubling. On Reverse K, there is a die crack from the rim that connects the tops of (UNIT)ED. This die crack will eventually lead to a full cud once that section of the die completely breaks away. See the terminal die state of Reverse K at the Variety 111a listing.
