With Arrows - Hubbed Date and Arrows

Variety 115

Obverse 15: Die Erosion Below Date

Reverse O: Reverse Rotated Right 32 Degrees

Obverse 15                                              Reverse O

Comments: There are no unique diagnostics on Obverse 15 other than considerable die erosion in the date and denticles directly below the date digits. Metal flow lines are visible behind the date digits and Stars 1 and 2. There is the remote possibility that this obverse could be an early die state of a previously listed obverse where die cracks are the identifier. Additional research is required to determine a comprehensive list of die states for the Obverse 15 and Reverse O die pairing.

Reverse O die is rotated right by 32 degrees and also shows no unique diagnostics.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, ANACS AU58
