Obverse Diagnostic Point(s) Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)
Comments: The die cracks on Obverse 6 and Obverse 7, between Liberty's foot and Star 13, are very similar. Careful study of the position of the diagonal die crack with respect to Liberty's foot is recommended. The additional diagnostic to differentiate Obverse 6 and Obverse 7 is the strength of the date punch. Obverse 7 features a strong date with the 54 digits being closed and the left foot of the 1 digit being complete. Obverse 6, on the other hand, has a weak date hubbing. Reverse E exhibits a Large O mintmark that appears to be slightly oblique. The upper section of the Large O mintmark is stronger in appearance than the bottom section.
