Comments: Obverse 8 has a date punch position that is nearly identical to the date position of Obverse 6. Both dies have a Denticle Ruler measurement of DR 0R. However the date on Obverse 8 is level while the date on Obverse 6 has a slight downward slope. There are also die lines differences between the two obverse dies. Obverse 8 exhibits faint die lines in the lower shield and gown. 1873 No Arrows Closed 3 Reverse G is a later die state of Reverse B paired with Open 3 Obverse 1. While paired with the No Arrows obverse die, Reverse G develops a radial die crack throughout the entire wreath.
