Obverse 1: Proof Die, Repunched 4, High Level Date, Die Defect on Neckline, Left Arrow DR -1L
Reverse A: Proof Die
Obverse 1 Reverse A
Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)
Comments: The single 1874 proof obverse die is easily recognizable due to a large die defect directly above the center point of Liberty's neckline. In addition, the 4 digit exhibits some minor repunching above the left and right feet of the digit. Scattered die lines are also found across Liberty's lower body.
The proof reverse die is perfect in this early die state. This proof die pairing will be reused for circulation strikes.
