Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                 Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: This is the last of the three different reverse die pairings with Obverse 7. Reverse C, which was previously paired with Obverse 2, shows die wear and erosion of the denticles. There is considerable weakness in the lower left ribbon end and wreath leaves. The reverse die may have been polished after being paired with Obverse 2.

This is the second example seen of the Obverse 7 and Reverse C die pairing. The first specimen, only grading F15, was purchased as part of a small hoard in 1992 from Harry Smith. The current plate coin was purchased as part of the Bunker "Ohio Collection" offered on eBay during December 2005. I have increased the rarity of Variety 111 from R4 to R5.
