Comments: The date punch on Obverse 2 is positioned further left than on either Obverse 1 or Obverse 3.
On the few Variety 103 examples that I have seen, Reverse A is typically weak from 10:00 through 12:00. This die pairing variety is the most difficult to locate of the five known 1884-S die pairs and is considered to be an R-5 rarity.
