Obverse 1 Reverse A
Obverse Diagnostic Point(s) Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)
Comments: Obverse 1, though boldly struck, is typically seen with a lack of head details and weakness in Liberty's upper body. Stars 6 through 13 will also show weakness in detail and halos around each star. Reverse A is a leftover die from 1852 (Reverse B). It was used on a limited basis in 1852 and still produced strong detailed strikes in 1853 with full denticles.
