Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                    Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: Both obverse and reverse dies show wear and erosion. The denticles are very weak on Obverse 7. The bases of 1 digit are thin while the 6 digit is open.

Reverse G appears to be have been lapped or polished, with portions of the left ribbon end missing. A die crack connects the left and right ribbon ends and proceeds upward into the lower right wreath. Examples from this obverse/reverse die pair appear infrequently, but the obverse die erosion and reverse die cracks suggest considerable usage of this die pair by the Philadelphia mint.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, MS63
