Obverse Diagnostic Points

Comments: Obverse 8 is easily identified by a date punch that is positioned low. There is obvious repunching under the bottom loop of the 0 digit. Faint die lines are seen behind the 0 digit in the date and between (OF A)MERICA and the rim.

Reverse H is perfect.

Examples from this obverse die are infrequently seen and have proven to be elusive in higher grades.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, PCGS MS64 - Ex. Cook
