Comments: 1882 Variety 112 was discovered during May 2014 while processing a customer consignment. The DR 0L denticle ruler measurement coupled with slight downward date slope indicated a new obverse die. This die is labeled as Obverse 12. The top of the 2 digit date punch is broken as seen on many other 1882 obverse dies.

Reverse L is well hubbed with bold denomination and wreath device details. On the plate coin, there are faint die cracks throughout the wreath and bow knot.
