Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                   Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: Both Obverse 6 and Reverse H show considerable die erosion. Interestingly, the obverse die develops a bulge, which eliminates the upper shield detail. At least 4-5 examples have been seen with this phenomenon. The reverse die develops a crack from the rim to (U)NITED, then to the left wreath. This die pair continues to be used until severe die erosion is present around the stars and date on the obverse and behind the legend on the reverse. Surprisingly, this die pair does not show any further progression of die cracks through its end of life.
