Obverse 3: Doubled Date, 54 Closed
Reverse C: Perfect Die
Obverse 3 Reverse C
Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)
Comments: There is obvious doubling below all digits in the date and under the cross bar of the 4 digit. Since the date and arrows were hubbed in the master hub die, this doubling occurred during the hubbing of the working die and should not be referred to as date repunching.
Breen lists a repunched date #3284 which I suspect to be this doubled date variety. I have also seen another potential example of the Breen #3284 variety where Star 13 is doubled.
