Comments: Variety 112 is an interesting die marriage between a cracked and clashed obverse die and a perfect reverse die.

The lower portion of Obverse 12 is cracked in three distinct locations. There is a die crack from left arrow up through the base and into rim. Another die crack is seen from denticles below 1 digit into the base of the 1 and across 8 digit into 5 digit, is then very faint across 54 digits and ends at the right arrow. The third crack is seen from toes to the right rim. Faints die cracks are present between Liberty's head and Stars 7, 8 and cap. Obverse 12 is also obviously clashed with heavy transfer marks around Liberty's head. This obverse was well hubbed as the 54 digits are touching.

Surprisingly, Reverse L die is perfect and produces a hammered strike on the plate coin.
