Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Late Die State - Obverse and Reverse Die Cracks

Comments: This variety can be located in late die states with searching. Obverse 9 die cracks are easily seen from the left arrow, through the base and into the rim along with a significant die crack from the foot into the right rim. Die cracks are also starting to appear in the upper section of the obverse.

Reverse I shows considerable erosion behind the legend with AMERICA becoming weak. There is a single long die crack from the rim above (A)MERICA down through the tops of letters A(MERICA).

This die pairing is available in multiple die states though early die states are nearly impossible to attribute due to hubbed date arrows. For simplicity, I've chosen to only list this variety once regardless of die states. Collectors are encouraged to seek out the various late die states and shattered obverses that are available for 1854 With Arrows coinage.
