Reverse I.2: Die Cracks Top of (OF AMERICA)

Obverse 9.2                                               Reverse I.2

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                    Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: In this later die state, both Obverse 9 and Reverse I are eroded and worn, lacking details within the device elements. Die erosion can be clearly seen throughout the lower shield and within the gown lines to the right of the shield. On Reverse I, a significant die crack connects the tops of the letters in (OF AMERICA). The die crack leaves a blob of extra metal directly above (A)MERICA.
