Obverse 1                                             Reverse A.2

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                      Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: Once again, Obverse 1 is easily recognized by a thin date with the 1 and 8 digits being especially weak.. All digits are shallow in relief and are separated as compared to the remainder of 1849 obverse dies.

Reverse A has developed a long die crack starting from rim, through UNITE(D) and wreath, and ending at a point in between the letters ONE and DIME.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, PCGS AU55 CAC Green
