Comments: Obverse 2 can be easily diagnosed by a pointed or triangular die scratch from the top of Liberty's head to the rim. The date digits are thick, as will be found on all subsequently listed obverse dies. The 9 digit in the date is closed, as a result of a defect joining the tail and loop of the 9 punch. The 4 and 9 digits are also touching. There is considerable raised metal between the 4 and 9 digits. On a Mint State example, an extra 8 or 9 date punch has been seen between the LIBER(T)Y in the scroll and the gown fold to the immediate right. I have attempted to illustrate this potential misplaced digit on the plate coin.

Reverse B is perfect, but shows significant die flash around the bow loops.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, PCGS AU58
