Comments: Obverse 1 features the same die punch characteristics as 1849, namely a defect that joins the tail and loop of the 9. Strike weakness for this obverse is the rule. Finding a fully struck Obverse 1 dime with full stars and head detail could entail many years of searching. The Large O on Reverse A is punched at an oblique angle into the die and is positioned right and high.
