Comments: Obverse 4 comes with a heavy date as compared to the other 1862 obverse dies. The 6 digit is closed. There are numerous horizontal die lines in the upper shield between shield lines 7 and 12. The die lines extend beyond the shield into the right gown details. A diagonal die line is also visible between shield lines 10 and 11. Reverse D is perfect with the ribbon ends touching the wreath.
