Variety 105a

Obverse 5.2: Late Die State, No Repunching In Date

Reverse E: Left Ribbon Touches Wreath

Obverse 5.2                                               Reverse E

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)                 Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: In this common die state, the Obverse 5 legend and date are weak. The repunching below the flag and base of the 1 digit has been eliminated since the date digits are so weak. Obverse die lapping seems to be the only plausible explanation.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, AU50
