Comments: The plate coin for Obverse 2 demonstrates the typically weak strikes to be expected from 1875-S dimes. Liberty's head, foot and base, along with the legend are weakly struck. Obverse 2 can be identified by the large die defect on Liberty's mid section. Reverse B is also weakly struck throughout the wreath and is cracked. Die cracks are most prevalent between the rim and the lower wreath and bow. A large rim cud has developed on this specimen.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, MS63
