Comments: The plate coin for Variety 102 demonstrates the typically weak strikes to be expected from 1875-S Below Wreath dimes. Liberty's head, foot and base, along with the legend are weakly struck. Obverse 2 can be identified by the large die defect on Liberty's mid section.
Reverse B is also weakly struck throughout the wreath and is cracked. Die cracks are most prevalent between the rim and the lower wreath and bow. A large rim cud is seen on this specimen.
