Comments: Obverse 10 is another 1868 die with a weak date punch. The left and right bases of the 1 digit are very thin. The date punch strength is similar to that of Variety 104, the proof obverse and Variety 112, Obverse 12. A later die state of Obverse 10 exhibits a date with missing details in the lower date digits. Please see Variety 110a.
