Obverse and Reverse Die Cracks

Comments: The 1888 Variety 101 proof dies are reused for business strikes. The legend is bold on Obverse 1 as is the date punch. The plate coin is in a middle die state with some die erosion near the obverse denticles. Die cracks are appearing as mapped in the above illustration.

Reverse A is also cracked and clashed. The strongest die cracks are located in the lower right wreath.
