Reverse N: Perfect Die

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: The date punch on Obverse 12 is the only attribution point available. Please note the deeply punched logotype and slightly upward sloping date position. The Denticle Ruler measurement is clearly seen as DR 1C. To separate Type 2 obverse Varieties 111, 112, 113 and now 114, all with DR 1C date positions, one must study the distance of the date punch from the base (top side) and the denticles (bottom). In the case of the Variety 114, note how close the left foot of the one digit is placed to the 0 denticle. This placement is closer than that of the three other obverses with DR 1C date placement measurement.

Reverse A is perfect with no obvious attribution points.

This die variety was identified by Gerry Fortin while working through a consignment from the Denver Collection in late March 2017. The date position did not match any Type 2 obverses that were documented in this Liberty Seated dime varieties guide.
