Comments: Variety 103 is the easiest of the three business strike Short Flag 1 obverse dies to locate. Obverse 3 can be easily diagnosed via the DR 1B2 date position and a broken (S)TATES. The plate coin is the finest business strike example of a Short Flag 1 dime that I've been able to acquire. Note the full head and the completeness of the obverse strike. Typically, business strike Short Flag 1 dimes are seen with weak strikes and flat heads.
Also note Revere C has multiple die lines in the lower right wreath as illustrated above.
