Comments: Short Flag 1 Variety 103 is the easiest of the three business strike Short Flag 1 obverse dies to locate. Obverse 3 is diagnosed via the DR 1B2 date position. The plate coin is the finest business strike example of a Short Flag 1 dime that has been located and acquired. Note the full head and the completeness of the obverse strike. Typically, business strike Short Flag 1 dimes are seen with weak strikes and flat heads.
