Comments: The proof dies have been again employed for business strikes. Additional wear and die cracks appear during the minting of commercial coinage.

As seen during the proof die state, the reverse die shows strong doubling. The region including DI(ME) and the outer edge of the oak leaves in the lower right wreath exhibits the strongest die doubling. See Variety 101 for those illustrations. The business strike plate coin exhibits a faint die crack at the bottom of the 877 digits. The reverse die also shows die cracks, with a significant crack being present at 9:00.
