Reverse J: Left Ribbon End Joined To Wreath
Obverse 11 Reverse J
Obverse Diagnostic Point(s) Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)
Comments: In higher grades, Obverse 11 can be diagnosed by a small lump defect below Liberty's left breast. This defect will wear quickly on circulated examples.
Reverse J is atypical as this working die was well hubbed but appears to be unfinished. The left ribbon end is clearly joined to the lower left wreath. The right ribbon end and right wreath are also joined as the area between these devices remains frosty without normal field characteristics.
