Comments: The date placement on Obverse 19 is measured as DR 0R and is similar to other 1887-S obverse dies. Two die scratches above the left upper shield are important secondary diagnostics. These scratches start from Liberty's left wrist and move right through the gown lines.

The Medium S mintmark on Reverse R is positioned low and well centered in the horizontal axis. There is a substantial die crack from the rim below the right ribbon end that proceeds up through the lower right oak leaf.

This 1887 San Francisco variety was first identified by Dale Miller during July 2013.
