Comments: Variety 121 results from the die pairing of Obverse 8 with a worn Reverse L. The primary Obverse 8 diagnostics are date position and the weak base above the 887 digits.

During this later die state, Reverse L is worn (or has been polished) with considerable loss of device details between 12:00 to 3:00. It would not be surprising to locate a higher grade example with die polishing lines in that area. Diagnosing Reverse L is straightforward due to the high Medium S mintmark that tilts sharply right.

This die pairing was discovered by the author during early August 2014.
