Comments: The F-107a obverse and reverse die pair listing is for the later die states of the repunched date variety. Early die state examples will show bold repunching on the 1853 digits in the date and a perfect reverse die. As the dies age, the date repunching is diminished and reverse die cracks appearing at top of letters STA(TES) and A(MERICA) become obvious under a loupe.

John McCloskey first published the 1853 With Arrows repunched date variety in the March 1980 issue of the Gobrecht Journal. Brian Greer listed this variety as Greer 103.
