Obverse 19                                               Reverse S

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: This is another Unhubbed obverse die that exhibits a date and arrows placement similar to the Hubbed obverse dies.

Obverse 19, to my knowledge, is always found with the rim cud below the left arrow and 18 digits in the date. It is still possible that 1853 With Arrows dimes may have been struck with Obverse 19 and do not exhibit the rim cud diagnostic. The date and arrows placement on Obverse 19 is consistent with the Hubbed obverse dies; finding an Obverse 19 specimen without a rim cud will take considerable searching and just plain luck.
