Comments: Obverse 21 continues to degrade and has been paired with a badly cracked reverse die. The stem of the left arrow nearly touches the 1 digit in the date. The stem of the right arrow is connected to the upper loop of the 3 digit. The right arrow is repunched above the stem. On the obverse, a die crack is visible from the rim to the base, then down through the left arrow and to the 1 digit. Another die crack is seen from Star 7 through Liberty's head to Star 8. On Reverse V, a large partial cud has formed between STA(TE)S and the rim. Another partial cud has formed between UNI(TED) and the rim. A die crack connects all the tops of the letters in UNITED.

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, MS62
