Comparison of Obverse 12 Die States

Obverse 12 Early Die State                 Obverse 12 Lapped Die

Comments: Obverse 12 has been lapped resulting in a weak date with no signs of repunching on the date digits. Th 5 digit is open. The two die scratches forming an (X) in Liberty's right armpit remain very visible. Use these scratches as the primary diagnostic for a late die state Obverse 12 die.

Reverse N shows no signs of die lines behind UNITED or (D)IME. It is not possible to determine if the reverse on the plate coin is a new reverse die pairing with Obverse 12 or a polished Reverse N. For simplicity, I've chosen to list the reverse as a later die state of Reverse N.
