Comments: The identification of 1876 San Francisco dies could extend for years. Variety 123 was discovered within a GFRC consignment during August 2016. Note the high level date that is closer to the base than the denticles. The Large Knob 6 date punch is utilized for Obverse 23. There are no other diagnostic points.

A small filled S mintmark is found on Reverse U with nicely centered placement. The mintmark measurement guide results in a Left, High measurement. Note the partial hubbing of the M letter in DIME. The upper right horizontal segment is partial resulting is a straighforward diagnostic point.
