Comments: Obverse 1 features a high date with slight downward slope. Both the (S)TATES and (O)F are completely broken. The task of identifying Obverse 1 vs. Obverse 2 examples will prove to be challenging for collectors since both obverse dies have a Denticle Ruler measurement of DR 1L. Also Reverse A is paired with both Obverse 1 and Obverse 2. Collectors should remember that Obverse 1 comes with bold head detail, a downward sloping date and no die scratch in the right shield.

During the die pairing with Obverse 1, Reverse A is in a late die state, with die cracks in the left wreath that exit to the rim in multiple locations. See the enhanced mapping of die cracks above.
