Comments: During the pairing with Obverse 4, Reverse A continues to degrade. The denticles are badly eroded and internal fields show strong metal flow lines. Heavy die cracks are visible throughout the wreath. This is the final Reverse A die state seen and is designated as a shattered reverse die. I would not be surprised to learn that this die produces a retained cud between 7:30 and 9:00.

Previous/Subsequent Die Pairings - In Wreath Obverse 4

Obverse 4 will be paired with three additional Below Wreath reverse dies to produce additional coinage. During the Obverse 4 die pairings with Below Wreath reverse dies, this obverse die will be labeled BW Obverse 7.

Previous/Subsequent Die Pairings - In Wreath Reverse A

Obverse 4 is the fourth obverse die to be paired with Reverse A including this near terminal die state. Previously, Reverse A was paired with IW Obverses 1, 2 and 3.
