Comments: The 8 and 9 digits show repunching on Obverse 10. The repunching is most obvious below the upper loop of the 9 digit. Additional repunching is found in the upper portion of the 8 digit's lower loop. Dr. Glenn Peterson first published the repunching on the 8 and 9 digits in the July 1996 issue of the Gobrecht Journal.
Reverse L has a Medium O mintmark that tilts sharply to the left. The reverse die exhibits die cracks in the wreath with several exiting to the rim as mapped above. Reverse L is also lightly clashed in this interim die state.
