Comments: Obverse 3 will show die chips around Stars 3 through 13. There are vertical die lines between the 52 digits in the date and the rim. Ahwash lists a later die state example with a die crack from the lower part of right leg through the right field and under Star 13 to the rim.

Reverse C shows several die lines between (ST)ATES and the wreath though those would be difficult to see on dimes with circulation wear. The space between the left and right ribbon bows shows obvious die polish lines. On the plate coin, there is also a faint die crack from the rim to UNITE(D).

Plate Coin: G. Fortin Collection, PCGS MS63
