Reverse D: Weak Legend, Die Crack Rim to (A)MERICA, Die Defect at DI(M)E

Obverse 4 Reverse D
Obverse Diagnostic Point(s) Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: Obverse 4, with a repunched 52, is initially paired with a reverse die exhibiting a weak legend. Reverse D can be identified by a die crack from rim to (A)MERICA and by a die defect behind DI(M)E along with weakness in the legend. To date, I have only seen one example of this die pairing.
