Obverse 8: High Date, Digits Nearly Touch Base, Die Lines Through Lower Arm, Open 5

Reverse J: Perfect Die

Obverse 8                                                 Reverse J

Obverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: On Obverse 8, the date punch is level and positioned near the base and almost touches. Downward sloping die lines are seen above the shield and through Liberty's lower arm. A die defect is present within the gown folds immediately to the right of the middle section of the shield. When viewed closely, the defect matches the outline of the bottom of the 2 digit in the date.

Reverse J is perfect.
