Comments: Obverse 7 exhibits repunching on the 77 digits as illustrated in Variety 109, but is in an earlier die state where the die crack through the bottom of the date digits is faint. Both Obverse 7 and Reverse J were previously listed in other die pairings. This variety is the third pairing of Obverse 7 while Reverse J, the second known pairing. Reverse J was first listed in Variety 113 when paired with Obverse 11.
This variety was first announced in February 2007 on the www.seateddimevarieties.com message board by John Pontorno (CoinJP). The author immediately identified the new die pairing. John's dime is the plate coin and is graded MS62/MS64 by ANACS via an original photo certificate.
