Comments: Obverse 12 is another of the many rusted dies found within 1876 Carson City coinage. Rust damage is evident throughout Liberty's upper body and the shield. There is a large patch of die erosion between Liberty's right arm and AMERICA. A large die defect is present below UNIT(ED).

Reverse J is lightly cracked. A die scratch is found in the inner right wreath by ON(E).
