Reverse Diagnostic Point(s)

Comments: In a later die state, Reverse O is shattered and appears to be polished versus the earlier die state plate coin published as Variety 120. Die cracks are visible throughout the wreath but most severe on the left wreath. With additional usage, the reverse die could possibly shatter between 8:00 and 10:00 and produce coinage with a distinct reverse cud. To date, no Reverse O examples have surfaced with a reverse cud in that area.

Obverse 16 remains intact and exhibits a faint die crack at the bottom of the date digits. The die clash marks from an earlier clashing event are still evident on the plate coin. From the appearance of the date digits, it is possible that Obverse 16 was also polished. See below.
