Comments: Business strike examples from the Proof or Specimen dies are available. Obverse 17 has developed a faint die crack that starts at the rim to the left of the 1 digit, then through the bottom of the 187 date digits, bending up through the lower loop of the 6 digit and then to the foot and finally to AMERIC(A).

Reverse P has developed a faint die crack from the center of the left "C", through the right "C" and then to the right ribbon end. The denomination is doubled. This reverse will again be paired with a different obverse die for more Carson City coinage. See the next listed variety; Variety 122.
