Comments: The denticles on Obverse 22 are partially eroded. The date punch measurement is DR 1L. Obverse 22 is paired with Reverse S.

Reverse S can be easily mistaken for Reverse E, the reverse die paired with the popular Doubled Die Obverse listed as Variety 106. On Reverse die E and Reverse die S, there is doubling above the letter (D)IME coupled with a level mintmark position. The diagnostic that differentiates the two reverse dies is the lack of doubling on O(N)E on Reverse S and a slightly tighter mintmark spacing on Reverse E. Good luck diagnosing these reverse dies on lower grade examples.
